Vincent Price wakes up in a world overrun by the undead—alone, armed, and running out of time. Backstory
Filmed in Italy and released in 1964, this was the first screen version of I Am Legend. Though author Richard Matheson disowned it, the movie’s grim tone and visual style influenced future post-apocalyptic films, including Night of the Living Dead (which shares striking similarities).
