John Peter McAllister, an aging American who spent decades in Japan mastering the ancient art of ninjutsu discovers he has a daughter he never knew about in the United States, McAllister returns to America to find her. Along the way, he partners with Max Keller, a brash young drifter who becomes his student. Together, they travel from town to town, helping those in need while staying one step ahead of McAllister’s former ninja pupil-turned-enemy, Okasa, who believes McAllister has betrayed the code by leaving Japan. With martial arts action, 80s-style heroics, and a unique blend of Western and Eastern philosophies, the show blends ninja mystique with classic road-trip storytelling.
